Well not a single boat came to the scales on day one, so day two will surely be a big one. All boats must stop fishing at 5 p.m. and be back at Palafox Pier and Yacht Harbor no later than 8 p.m. The weighin hours are 5 to 8, but we’ll be there well into the night until all boats have weighed in.

Reports were few and far between, but Captain Matt Mauldwin, mate Alex Pinney, and owner Keith English aboard the boat “Click Through” have released two white marlin. It sounds like a lot of boats are struggling with a slow bite, especially those who stayed close.

A lot of anglers will be spending tonight fishing for swordfish along with a few others taking advantage of the night time yellowfin tuna bite. One boat gave the day time sword fishing a go briefly today, but didn’t have any luck.
